Gender Equality
We engage with schools and organizations to design gender sensitization modules and deliver training workshops.
Our expertise is to work in diverse areas and promote gender equality
The population of adolescent girls (aged 10-19) in India is around 120 million, while the population of young women (aged 20-24) is around 63 million. Adolescent girls and young women face particular challenges in accessing education and employment opportunities, due to cultural norms and gender-based discrimination.
Adolescent girls and women in India face high levels of violence and harassment, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and harassment in public spaces. This can have long-lasting physical and psychological effects on their health and well-being.
Adolescent girls and women in India face limited economic opportunities, particularly in rural areas. This limits their ability to become financially independent and provide for themselves and their families.
Adolescent girls and women in India face a range of health challenges, including malnutrition, maternal mortality, and reproductive health issues. Many do not have access to healthcare services or information about how to maintain their health.
Technology use among adolescent girls and young women in India is increasing, with around 60% of women aged 15-24 owning a mobile phone as of 2018. However, there is still a gender gap in access to technology and digital skills and these need to be scaled up in both rural and urban areas.
